Hullo and welcome to my first homemade synth. This was a school project completed spring 1999, but it'll never be quite finished I suppose. One double CEM3374 VCO, one CEM 3378 VCF/VCA, one LFO, two HADSR envelope generators (thanks Jurgen Haible and Jorgen Bergfors!), one ring modulator, plus joystick and keyboard.

Here it is now, resting on the lawn. Modules (if you'd like to call'em that) from L to R:
LFO+Noise+Glide, Dual VCO, Mix, VCF+VCA, Dual VC HADSR EG, and to the
very right after two blank panels; the input/output module. Bottom left: joystick.
And yes, it's pretty big. Bigger than it needs to be.

Here is a closeup of the joystick panel. Never got time to decorate it like the others. Two pots, these are
for adjusting X and Y sensitivity. Room for three more pots; I intended to build a microcontroller
keyboard scanner with an arpeggiator, and be able to change arp. modes and speed with some
pots / switches. Didn't get around to that either. It's a shame, because it would have been neat.

SOUND CLIPS:
Bass Thing and another Bass Thing
Flute sound (filter resonance)
Synchronized Triangle lead sound
Ring Modulated Frenzy lead
WARNING: I am Not handy with a keyboard AT ALL! Ergo: no fancy riffs.

A large thank you to Bjørn Are Nygård who took the pictures for me. Visit his page.

BTW: Here's the diary (the original Nebulus page).

YUMMY! The Nebulus has been taken apart!
Was too big and clumsy. Want to build something bigger! (?)
